For musicians, DJs and creators
Your track. A storyboard written for its beat.
Import a song or the sound of any video. CamJam finds the tempo, bars, sections and the drop — the moment the music hits hardest — and writes a storyboard around them: an opening, a build-up, the main shot exactly on the drop, a breather and a finale. Film it on your Android phone or iPhone and every cut lands on a beat.
- Android 7.0+ (64-bit) and iPhone with iOS 17+ — the same features on both.
- App in English, Español, Català and Русский.
- No Google Play on your phone? Download the APK (59 MB)
Works offline — in the mountains, underground, on a plane. No cloud, no tracking.

From a track to a video
- Share the track to CamJam — from a file manager, a messenger or a video (its sound is used). Or Settings → “Add your own track”.
- Check the analysis — tempo, beat confidence, the drop. Choose the video length (15 s up to the whole track), how often shots change (Smooth, On the beat, Fast) and the ending (Loop or Fade out); the storyboard is redrawn as you tap.
- Pick a genre and storyline — trip, walk, visit, nature, event, food, restaurant; the hints follow the story. “Another variant” shuffles the shots.
- Film and post — the edit is ready when you stop. Re-cut the same footage to your next release in one tap.
What the analyzer does
Tempo and phase
Spectral flux with a kick-weighted comb; octave errors (double/half tempo) checked by snare and accent patterns.
Bars and downbeat
2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 — the waltz stays a waltz; cuts start on the “one”.
Sections and drop
Intro, build-up, drop, breakdown, outro — the main shot goes on the strongest drop.
Frame-accurate cuts
Lengths are quantized to video frames cumulatively: at 143 BPM the 16th cut is still on the beat.
Tested on real tracks
| Track | What CamJam found | Right? |

| Sajanka & TERRA — Galiya (psytrance) | 150 BPM; a build-up before every drop, main drop at 1:49 | ✓ |
| Fugees — Fu-Gee-La (hip-hop) | 90 BPM, 4/4 | ✓ |
| Radiohead — Creep (rock) | 91 BPM — at first it heard 183 (guitar eighths), fixed by listening for the snare | ✓ |
| Metallica — Nothing Else Matters (6/8) | 71 BPM, bars of 3 | ✓ |
| 3H Company, live band | 133 BPM; the tempo breathes, grid within 13 ms | ✓ |
| Chopin — Nocturne op. 48 no. 1 (piano) | “No clear beat” — warns and offers an even recipe | ✓ |
| J. S. Bach — BWV 1052, Allegro | 179 BPM instead of ~90: double tempo | ✗ — tick “½ tempo” |
| Krovostok — Cherepovets (half-time rap) | 132 BPM instead of ~88 | ✗ — use an even, open recipe |
| Elgar — Sarabande (cello, rubato) | tempo and bar both wrong | ✗ — use an even, open recipe |

Guide
A practical guide: plan 12–16 shots, film each a little longer, vary close-ups and wides, put the strongest shot where the music hits. With or without CamJam.
CamJam vs CapCut & Edits
Editors and templates work after the shoot with clips you already have. CamJam plans the shots before you film, edits during the shoot and works fully offline.

Questions and answers
Which audio formats are supported?
Anything your phone can play — MP3, M4A/AAC, OGG, WAV, FLAC — and the audio track of any video.
What if the beat is detected wrong?
The dialog shows how confident the detection is and warns when the beat is hard to hear. For calm tracks heard at double speed, choose “Smooth” — shots get twice as long; with no clear beat the app writes an open recipe of even shots.
Can I use the video to promote my release?
Yes — it is your music and your footage. Nothing is stamped over the video; the 2-second CamJam end card can be switched off.
Can I use a trending sound from Reels or TikTok?
Yes, two ways. To cut to its beat: save a video with that sound to your phone and share it to CamJam (or pick it as your own track) — the app finds the beat and writes a storyboard. When you post, add the same sound in Instagram or TikTok from its music library, start it at the same moment and turn the video's own sound down: the cuts stay on the beat, and the platform's licence covers the song. Business accounts only get the platform's commercial library.
Can I get ten videos out of one track?
Yes. The recipe made from your track stays in the app: every new video on it is a new project with the cuts in the same places. For different storyboards, share the track again and pick another genre or storyline, or press 🎲 for other hints; footage you already have can be re-cut to the track from Projects.
