For trips and walks
A travel Reel that is finished before you get home
Most trip footage never becomes a video: 200 clips, no time to edit. With CamJam you follow a travel recipe — “before departure”, “a detail up close”, “move the camera as the view opens” — and the 30-second Reel is cut to the beat on the spot, on your Android phone or iPhone. No internet needed: it edits in the mountains, on a plane or in the metro.
- Android 7.0+ (64-bit) and iPhone with iOS 17+ — the same features on both.
- App in English, Español, Català and Русский.
- No Google Play on your phone? Download the APK (59 MB)
Works offline — in the mountains, underground, on a plane. No cloud, no tracking.

What usually goes wrong with travel videos
Hundreds of clips, and after the trip there is no evening free to edit them.
The video is edited while you travel: each shot is cut in the background, the Reel is ready at the last stop.
All shots look the same: wide landscape after wide landscape.
The recipe alternates: detail, wide, a moving shot, the main image of the trip, a breather — the hints tell you which, and when.
The landscape moves but the cut doesn't follow the music.
Shot lengths are in beats; the main shot lands where the music hits.
Roaming is expensive, the mountain hut has no Wi-Fi, the plane is in flight mode — and the editor needs the cloud.
Everything runs offline on the phone. The Reel is finished on the plane; post it when you land.
A travel Reel in four steps
- Pick a trip recipe — “Epic road”, “Caravan” or “Night walk”, or make one from a song you associate with the place.
- Film on the way — one shot at a time, whenever the hint fits what is in front of you. A series can last days: it survives closing the app and restarting the phone.
- Use what you already filmed — a shot can be replaced by a clip from the gallery, shot earlier with the same phone or another camera.
- Share from the bus — save to the gallery or send straight to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or WhatsApp.
Tools travellers use most
Slow motion
Waves, birds, a train passing: ×4 and ×8 on phones with 120/240 fps cameras. Any shot can also be slowed to ½× or ⅓× after filming, smoothly, on every phone.
Landscape or portrait
Film the whole series in 16:9 for YouTube or 9:16 for Reels — the screen locks to the series format.
Continue the motion
Move the camera out of one place and keep moving into the next: the end of the previous shot shows through the viewfinder.
Live sound
Keep the street musician or the sea under the music where the recipe asks for it.
Recipes for trips
Best of the trip
The best moments of a trip to a rising, inspiring tune: the suitcase by the door, tickets and the map, the landscape through the window, the best view of the whole trip where the music rises, local food, street life and one last sunset.
Mountain trek
A day on a mountain trail to a wide, airy cinematic tune: the path ahead, hands on the stones, tea at the hut, the summit where the music hits, prayer flags in the wind, the lake, the snow peak far away, a waterfall and the way back down.
Sunset by the sea
A slow evening by the sea, a lake or a river to a dreamy chill beat: the horizon, bare feet on the sand, the sun touching the water where the beat comes in, waves, the light on the water and the first lights of the blue hour.
Night drive
A drive through the city at night to a retro synthwave track: the car under a streetlight, the dashboard lighting up, the road ahead where the beat comes in, neon in the windows and a stop above the city lights.
Bike ride
A bike ride through the city or the countryside to a laid-back guitar tune: the bike against a wall, the helmet strap, the first push, the open road ahead where the bass comes in, the wheel on the path and a rest by the water.
Horse trail day
A day out in the countryside on horseback or on foot to a bright acoustic adventure tune: horses at the start, hooves and boots, the group on the trail where the music hits, the view, lunch at the farmhouse and the sunset.

Questions and answers
Can I film a travel video over several days?
Yes. A series is saved as a project; you can close the app, restart the phone and continue the next day.
Can I mix in clips I filmed earlier?
Yes. Add clips from the gallery to empty slots or replace any shot with a gallery clip; they are trimmed to the slot and cut on the beat like the rest.
Does it work without mobile data abroad, in the mountains or on a plane?
Yes. CamJam never needs the internet to film or edit — flight mode is fine. Only the optional recipe catalog downloads over the network; download recipes before the trip.
